In 2009, the Grande Prairie Friendship Centre decided to shift the focus of its conference to education. In doing so they began an important partnership with not only the Circle of Indigenous Students but also the Grande Prairie Regional College. After the success of the first conference held at GPRC, it was evident that an educational institute is where the youth needed to be. Each year Grande Prairie Regional College welcomes over 300 youth into their facility, thus beginning a new chapter in the lives of each and every youth delegate in attendance.
The Grande Prairie Friendship Centre is most appreciative of the Grande Prairie Regional College’s commitment to instilling educational value into the lives of Indigenous youth. Additional 2018 sponsors include: Cenovus, TransCanada Pipeline, Seven Generation Energy.

Additional ways to support the 2019 conference:
Prize Table Partner:
Donate items to the prize table baskets to have added product and company exposure. This allows your company to be presented to a target audience of 500+ potential costumers when your prize basket is introduced.
Youth Delegate Package:
Donate promotional items or gift certificates to be included in the youth conference delegate packages. We expect 340 youth to attend this year.
Round Dance Give Away Items:
Promotional items and otherwise may be donated to the Round Dance and included in the give away portion. The gifts will be given to all people as signs of appreciation for their attendance. Long ago when people attended round dances by horse and wagon; the gifts consisted of items to help them on their journey home i.e: camping supplies.
